Alina Astourian

Scientist

Alina earned her Master's degree from the University of Geneva, where she conducted research in the Dr. Paul Walker lab on exploring the role of hypoxia in tumour aggressiveness and immune cells polarisation. In 2022, she joined FimmCtye AG, a startup that collaborates with the University of Zurich's Department of Reproductive Endocrinology to develop innovative treatments for benign gynaecological diseases, specifically endometriosis.

In 2023, Alina transitioned to Daniel Rodriguez' team under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Brigitte Leeners. Her focus is on studying the endometrial immune environment.

 

Marianne Spalinger

Group Leader

Marianne Spalinger is the group leader for all research involving endometrial diseases at the department of reproductive endocrinology. Her main research focus lays in deciphering the molecular and immunological mechanisms that contribute to the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
